Ewelina Pukownik 

Graduate of the Medical University of Gdansk, where, in 2011, she acquired a Masters degree in medical analytics. In May 2016 she defended her doctoral thesis "Reconstitution of the immune system after transplantation of hematopoietic cells." In 2016 began a specialization in hematology.
She works in medical laboratories Synevo. Originates from Bory Tucholskie so her career in the aforementioned company started in Bydgoszcz. She currently works at the Central Medical Laboratory in Lodz, performing flow cytometry assays. Hematology and immunology are her main fields of expertise.

Marcin Dziedzic
Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Medical University of Lublin, working on the position of assistant in the Department of Laboratory Diagnostics. Also, an employee of the ALAB company, author and co-author of publications on the activity of the adrenergic system in chronicly hemodialysed patients. Currently in his scientific work he is trying to combine issues related to genetics and  diagnostic parameters in patients with impaired kidney functions. Privately he is a motorcyclist, great lover of baked goods and a fan of rock music.rockowej.


Małgorzata Pokrywka
Works at the Department of Clinical Biochemistry of Jagiellonian University Medical College. She is a graduate of the Jagiellonian University, where in 2008 she received a master's degree in Biology and, in 2013, she completed her PhD thesis entitled "Impact of galectin-3 in human melanoma cell response to the PCD causing factors. Between 2013-2014 she worked in the Malopolska Centre of Biotechnology as Senior Expert for. Technology Transfer and as a lecturer at the State Higher School of Eastern Europe. Currently she pursues both research and teaching. Her scientific interests concern the molecular basis of cancer development and molecular diagnostics of cancer. She loves mountain trips and walking in the woods. Her hobby are fantasy books.

Maciej Korpysz 
M KorpyszBorn on September 19th 1987 in Sandomierz. MSc in Laboratory Medicine. Thesis title: "Retrospective evaluation of serum Chromogranine A levels in patients with neuro-endocrine tumours". Since 2012 he works as an Assisstant at the Department of Biochemical Diagnostics (Medical University of Lublin) proceeding research and teaching. His research focuses on multiple myeloma patients. Since 2015 he conducts research designed for young scientists: "Assessment of prognostic and clinical value of novel biomarkers in bone tissue resorption induction in patients with monoclonal gammapathies. Author and co-author of ten publications, two monographs and two reports. Also he works as Junior Assisstant in Laboratory Medicine Department of Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Lublin, when he curates the laboratory of specific proteins. From 2012 member of Polish Association of Laboratory Medicine. Currently he is working on PhD thesis and professional specialization. His hobbies are sports, mountaineering and pomology.

Maciej Smutek
M SmutekBorn in Lublin, where he completed his MSc in biotechnology at Maria Skłodowska Curie University , afterwards finished post-graduate studies in Laboratory Medicine, which became his passion. In demanding profession he is guided by a motto, words of Isaac Asimov: "education isn't something you can finish". He currently works in Clinical Laboratory of Lublin Oncology Center. Also, with great pleasure, he is writing on odiagnostyce.pl blog. In the spare time he is devoted to a hobby - sleeping. His biggest dream is to move to Mars.

Michał Paweł Budzyński

Born on 40th anniversary of Hiroshima bombing. Zodiacal Lion. Citizen of Lublin - as his forefathers. Trained as Food technologist,  Pedagogue, Biotechnologist and Laboratory Medicine Scientist. In 2015 completed his PhD thesis "Changes in expression of selected circulating microRNAs in patients with B-cell CLL accorded to NOTCH1 gene mutational status. Keen on geography. His daily life bases on exploring the secret knowledge of handling biochemical analyzers. From nearly two years works in Clinical Laboratory of Lublin Oncology Center. Known for his ability of using solid knowledge on every day basis - especially in his work.  Amateur of Polish mountain routes, lord of baking, fancier of dogs and cats.

Stanisław Skulimowski 
Works in the Institute of Computer Science at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Lublin University of Technology) on the position of the Assistant. His research is focused on the application of gamification in education, design, game making and computer graphics. Animator of local IT enthusiasts gatherings. Co-organizer of WordUP and Lublin GameDev Barcamp meetings. Vice President of the GameDev Foundation, promoting expantion of creativity and human resource development in Creative Technology related industry.

Marita Pelczarska
M PelczarskaPhysiotherapist and coach. Her work is based upon the up-to-date cognizance of novel medical devices and on sharing the knowledge with physicians and therapists helping them implement innovative therapies. Her mission is to care for patients’ health and well-being as well as to broaden medical service staffs horizons. She is interested in psychology and personal development.  She loves Polish landscapes, mountain hiking and skiing. Above all else she puts the time spent with her family and friends.

Szymon Kierat
S KieratMedical Laboratory Scientist working in the Paediatric Clinical Hospital in Warsaw. His motivation for work is fact, that MLS helps clinicians by sharing ones most important knowledge. He is also inspired to implement and exercise novel methods, notably those based on molecular analysis of DNA (which became his main activity for past few months). Likewise he enjoys teaching at Medical University of Warsaw. His hobbies are mountain trips, visiting European metropolises and web design.

Michał Woźniak
MSc in pharmacy and PhD in Chromatographic Doctoral Course at the Medical University of Lublin. From several years working in pharmaceutical/medical branch, employee of Solvay Pharma, Mepha, Siemens Healthcare, Synektik. Currently works as Product Manager in Biomed Lublin. In private life he is a husband and father of two daughters Maja and Jagoda. His hobbies are: economics, numismatics, mountain biking and running. With several completed marathons and ultra-marathons; including Bieg Rzeźnika (Run of the Butcher) on the distance of 82 kilometers, Tatra Fest Run, Bieszczady Ultra-marathon (53 kilometers long).

 

Marcin Muskała 
Born in 1985, MSc in biology at Maria Maria Skłodowska Curie University in Lublin, post-graduate in Laboratory Medicine at Medical University of Lublin. Since 2012 he works as Junior Assistant at the Department of Laboratory Diagnostics of Łęczna Ambulatory Health-Care Unit, also, from 2016 employee of ALFAMED Laboratories in Lublin. In 2014 he started his professional specialization at Medical University of Białystok. His interests are focused on issues related to pre-analytical measurement errors and biases, the diagnostical differences based on age and gender along with diagnostics in pregnant women.

Marcin Lewicki
Physycian during specialization in endocrinology. Works as an Assistant in the Department of Epidemiology and Methodology of Clinical Research at the Medical University of Lublin. His non-professional interests are: history of art, fantasy literature. He is a fan of Depeche Mode and Kansas.

Ewa Gruszewska
She is a specialized PhD in Laboratory Medicine, currently works in Department of Biochemical Diagnostics (Medical University of Białystok), also she teaches topics related to carbohydrates and nitrogen compounds  including classes in English. She curates scholarships in Laboratory Medicine for physycians and laboratory scientists. Her professional interests focuses on process of glycosylation and its disorders. Mostly concerning  sialylation in various clinical conditions. She is an author and co-author of many publications and reports.  Winner of numerous awards (including University President Award, Award for best PhD thesis, Scholarship of Polpharma Scientific Foundation). She is the head of Clinical Laboratory at Department of Biochemical DiagnosticsHer  favourite activities are reading and sightseeing.

Monika Błocka-Gumowska 
MSc in Laboratory Medicine of Medical University of Warsaw. Since 2011 curates hematology laboratory in Central Laboratory of Stefan Banach Clinical Hospital in Warsaw. She's also Internal Quality Auditor. Her aim is to teach on highest possible level and help those who require support in preparation for difficult exams. Since she found out about MLS profession she wanted to become one and she could not imagine doing anything else. Her passion is hematology. In private life she is mum and wife. She is keen on italian cuisine, enjoys going to theater and is passionate fan of Michał Bajor.
